Our world is not perfect, we know that. In this world, as it exists today, we are told it might be easier to reach the apple at the top of the tree if we just turned the tree upside down. So, we believe, to help us cope with the expanding hole in the ozone layer, rather than reduce the particulates, we invented the UV filter. Welcome to Lower Topia, where it really doesn’t matter any more. Extinction is a reality; it happens to over 85% of the world’s living things anyway.
I’m beginning to believe that finding Lower Topia resulted in more then just changing my physical address, more than having different stories about different people. What I discovered is that where you exist is more then living in a building that may or may not survive a Cat 5 Hurricane, may or may not deteriorate with age, or look superficially pretty on the outside. I believe my Lower Topia is me; my being, my soul. Not perfect, nor riddled with guilt; any more. But, I’ll hold off about that until the next Chapter. For now, welcome to Lower Topia.
